Unlocking human potential like our careers depends on it.
Hello again. I know a thing or two about career transitioning, whether it's advancement or starting over. I was a 15-year entrepreneur who experienced all the joys of leadership, including the cuts and scrapes. I have a proven leadership track record in several areas, such as:

"As someone who has worked with Executive Coaches for well over a decade, Mark Mathia's ability to ask the right question at the right time is almost unrivaled. Mark very often disrupts my mindset and provokes me towards appropriate action. Working with Mark for almost a year has produced significant improvements in my personal life, self-leadership, and professional abilities." Jim Moorhead, Executive Leader

2024 Intention – equanimity

Equanimity - From the Latin word aequanimitas, it means "evenness of mind" or "calmness of temperament." Considered one of the four cardinal virtues, alongside wisdom, courage, and justice.

In 2024, I intend to cultivate and maintain a state of equanimity in all aspects of my life. This will require consistent effort and a commitment to personal mastery. I will draw inspiration from Philippians 4:6-7, which reminds me to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present my requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I will focus on developing a daily meditation and mindfulness practice and incorporating regular physical exercise into my routine to achieve this intention. I will strive to remain present and attentive to the needs of those around me while setting appropriate boundaries to maintain my well-being.

Through consistent practice and steadfast dedication to equanimity, I am confident that I will be able to lead myself and others to a more peaceful and fulfilling life which, in turn, leads to higher levels of mental fitness and resilience.
