The Coaches Corner – Visioneering

The Coaches Corner

Visioneering is…

A vision is a dream with a plan attached.  It is the way by which you directionally map your personal or organizational goals/dreams turning them into a reality.

Visioneering then becomes the process of moving from a great idea to actionable steps in-line with your core convictions, beliefs and values.   By intentionally utilizing the visioneering process, your great thoughts become more than ideas – they become part of you.

  • Visioneering is extremely helpful to any organization seeking to tear down unhealthy silos and build up teams unified by a common and powerful vision.
  • Visioneering is also helpful to people looking to add energy to any area of their life that have platoed.

In this Vodcast,  I address taking the visioneering process out of the boardroom and into your personal life.

Visioneering Starts With Alignment

Making sure you understand what you value and why.  Then making sure your actions in life are in-line with your values of life.  (See my other video titled: Alignment)

Visioneering Ends with an Answered Question

Asking the question – “what would my personal life vision have to say to motivate me to leap out of bed and attack my day with passion?”

In this talk,  I offer ideas about the visioneering process and how you can add that kind of enthusiasm to your day.

In the comment section below share your thoughts about the visioneering process and what your personal life vision says.  Let’s encourage each other forward.

I know this as two out of three of my children are now (Que the intense music please)…TEENAGERS.

No need to panic. There is hope that as you grow in your leadership stature you can also grow in your ability to connect with and influence your maturing adults.

Welcome to the Coaches Corner

Have you ever had a season where you found yourself living a life that was not in-line with what you value? Your values and beliefs define who you are and how far your aspirations will take you in life. There is literally no separating you from your values.

  • This is why it is difficult to work in a career field you do not believe in.
  • This is why joy often eludes.
  • This is why it is easy to fall victim to a negative attitude.
  • This is why many would be great leaders are snarky.
  • This is why many find it hard to commit.
  • This list goes on and on…

So what do you value? Have you ever taken the time to ask yourself about your values? Join me in the Coaches Corner as we discuss my first dirt bike – and the importance of Alignment.

What advice would you offer to someone who is in need of a values alignment.

Feeling Frustrated and Stuck

there is no spoon

Endeavor as I might the almost supernatural ability to bend a spoon with the power of suggestion eludes me. The same can be said of making a pencil roll across the table with the energy of my mind. It appears I do not have the necessary beliefs to accomplish ESP object manipulation. What about you? Have you ever put a ton of energy into a project, only to fail?

Seasons of failure leave aspiring leaders feeling frustrated. I have had several of those seasons, and they hurt. Frustration, as a general rule, has the power to affect determination – leaving us in a place of frozen efforts. I refer to this situation as feeling, stuck. If your like me, being stuck is the root of all sorts of negative patterns of behavior.

In short, being stuck sucks.
